Computer is OFF Collage Shirt

Part of the Computer is Off capsule, this relaxed shirt explores what happens to our memory when so much of it exists outside ourselves.

The artwork began as a handmade collage, assembled from torn photographs of nature, including aerial landscapes whose forms unexpectedly resemble switches and circuitry. By bringing these images together by hand, the collage blurs the boundary between the natural and the digital.
A found strip of text was physically altered by crossing out selected words, revealing the phrase: “memory is lost / computer is off.”

Cut from long-staple cotton in a relaxed silhouette, the shirt can be worn on its own or open as a lightweight layer.
The artwork reflects a contradiction at the centre of the capsule: technology has become a keeper of our memories, yet switching it off can create space to reconnect with what exists beyond the screen.

Designed with a unisex fit. We recommend women take one size down.
